Fare Conditions
Community Fare
The Air Link Community Fare is available only to full-time residents living within the boundaries of the Local Government areas of Cobar, Brewarrina, Bourke and Walgett Shire Councils. Photo ID showing proof of the residential address will be required at check-in.
Not showing a valid ID will require the passenger to upgrade their ticket to the full Flexi Premium Fare, prior to departure.
No change of name is permitted.
Community Fares are non-refundable.
If a passenger cancels their ticket at least 60 minutes before the flights schedules time of departure, they can keep their ticket open for future use at no charge, but will be subject to the fare class being available.
The airfare will be forfeited if the passenger fails to complete check-in before the flight is closed. (20 minutes before departure), and is considered a no-show.
Travel must be completed within one year from date of purchase of the ticket. If not used within one year, the ticket value is forfeited.
Available for One Way travel.
Outback Saver
No flight changes (ie. name, date, time, origin, destination) are permitted. The ticket is valid only for the ticketed passenger. (ID will be required when checking in for flight) and the original flight.
The fare is forfeited if passenger fails to complete check-in before the flight is closed 20 minutes before scheduled time of departure.
Fare is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Travel must be completed within one year from date of purchase of the ticket. If not used within one year, the ticket value is forfeited.
Available for one-way travel.
Flexi Premium
Passengers may change the name, date and time of their ticket up to 60 minutes before scheduled time of departure at no charge. No Changes are permitted within 60 minutes before the scheduled time of the flights departure.
If a passenger cancels their flight at least 60 minutes before a flights scheduled time of departure, they can keep their ticket open for future use at no charge. However travel must be completed within one year of purchase.
Subject to other conditions, the fare is refundable (less an administrative fee of $35). The cancellation most occur at least 60 minutes before scheduled time of departure and chasing the flight is subject to an admin fee. Fees for online cancellations are lower. Note that if a ticket has been upgraded from a non-refundable category (Community Fare, or Outback Saver) to Flexi Premium, only the amount paid for the upgrade (ie: Fare difference) will be refunded.

Community Fares
3 seats will be available on each aircraft at the ‘Community Fare’ rate for locals living in the defined postcodes of the Bourke Shire, Brewarrina Shire, Cobar Shire and Walgett Shire (list below).
- The fare may be booked one way. It is only available to ‘locals’ (defined below).
- If the passenger is a no-show or turns up after flight check in closes (20 minutes prior to boarding), 100% of the fare is forfeited.
- No change of name is permitted.
- The date is non-refundable.
- The fare includes 15kg of Checked Baggage, plus 5kg carry on.
- Excess luggage will be charged at $5/kg and is subject to weight and space availability.
For each flight, 3 community fares will be available for purchase up until 24 hours before departure. Only ‘Locals’ can purchase these seats. Within 24 hours of the flight departing, all unsold seats will be open for locals to purchase at the community fare. Non-locals will still be able to purchase tickets at the higher fare categories.
A ‘local’ means a person who has a government issues photo ID (eg. a drivers license, or proof of age card) with an address that falls inside a postcode listed below. Air Link will implement systems to ensure, at check-in, that eligibility as a ‘local’ is verified. Failure to present valid photo ID will require the passenger to upgrade their fare to the Flexi Premium Fare
