3 Seats

3 Seats on each aircraft are available to ‘locals’  until 24 hours prior to departure. Inside 24 hours, all available seats are open to book as a community fare.  To book a seat within 24 hours of departure, please give us a call. 

ID Required

To claim a community fare, you must show Photo ID at check in. The address shown on your ID must match one of the postcodes below from the Bourke Shire, Walgett Shire, Brewarrina Shire and Cobar Shires. 

20kg Luggage

All community fare tickets include 15kg of Checked Baggage (Soft Bags Only), and 5kg of Carry on. Excess baggage will be charged at $5 per kg, and is subject to weight and space availability. 

Community Fares

3 seats will be available on each aircraft at the ‘Community Fare’ rate for locals living in the defined postcodes of the Bourke Shire, Brewarrina Shire, Cobar Shire and Walgett Shire (list below).

  • The fare may be booked one way. It is only available to ‘locals’ (defined below).
  • If the passenger is a no-show or turns up after flight check in closes (20 minutes prior to boarding), 100% of the fare is forfeited.
  • No change of name is permitted.
  • Community Fares are non-refundable.
  • The fare includes 15kg of Checked Baggage (Soft Bags Only), plus 5kg carry on.
  • Excess luggage will be charged at $5/kg and is subject to weight and space availability.

For each flight, 3 community fares will be available for purchase up until 24 hours before departure. Only ‘Locals’ can purchase these seats. Within 24 hours of the flight departing, all unsold seats will be open for locals to purchase at the community fare. Non-locals will still be able to purchase tickets at the higher fare categories.

A ‘local’ means a person who has a government issues photo ID (eg. a drivers license, or proof of age card) with an address that falls inside a postcode listed below. Air Link will implement systems to ensure, at check-in, that eligibility as a ‘local’ is verified. Failure to present valid photo ID will require the passenger to upgrade their fare to the <b>flexible Fare.</b>
