It was a very special delivery for one of Air Link’s Cessna 310 aircraft this week, flying a young border collie puppy from Brisbane to Sydney.

Carrying pets on board charter aircraft is more common than you think! Air Link are approved to fly pets of all shapes and sizes - from Bilbies to Border Collies! All you need is a pet carrier, and our pilots need to follow a couple of special rules in the plane (like preventing any accidents on the carpet 🤣)

Given the current situation and circumstances unfolding in the eastern parts of NSW, the @louthraces committee has decided to cancel the 2021 Louth Races. Unfortunately, due to lockdowns and the present COVID-19 restrictions, there is too much uncertainty and therefore the committee has made the assessment that it would be beneficial to cancel the 2021 race meeting sooner rather than later.

But it isn’t all bad news! This means that the Louth Races for 2022 will be a proud return. It is certain to be their greatest race meeting yet and we look forward to being a part of it!

Winter is well and truly here and the snow season

Winter is well and truly here and the snow season is now in full force, Thredbo and Perisher have received over 27 inches of snowfall over the period of just five days and they’re predicting much more! What better way to arrive at the snow than on your own exclusive jet which you can share with your friends or family.

Today we flew some wonderful passengers to the snow in partnership with our friends from @flyairly. We departed Sydney Airport early this morning and arrived at Cooma Airport in just under 40 minutes, perfect timing for our passengers to enjoy a full day on the slopes. We are able to accommodate up to 4 passengers in our Citation Mustang and allow our passengers to bring their own snow gear on board our flights, subject to space and weight restrictions.

The Air Link fleet is expanding once again! This week we took delivery of a new (to us) Piper Chieftain - VH-XMM to expand our charter and FIFO capabilities in QLD and Northern NSW.

XMM has now undergone a complete makeover, with a completely new grey leather interior to match the rest of our fleet, and a full repaint in Air Link blue and white.

Available from July and based in Archerfield, QLD, VH-XMM will set a new standard in twin piston aircraft available in Brisbane. We’re looking forward to showing you just how amazing this aircraft has been refurbished!
